THE IDEA

About Noise Complaint

Your keyboard is now a band. The neighbors were not consulted. Noise Complaint is a Play Weird music toy where every key adds to a concert nobody asked for. Start with a drum beat, attempt a piano melody, then let the cat handle the vocals. There is no score, no wrong note, and no good time to add more cowbell. You can add it anyway. The noise counter keeps track of your contribution to the problem. Musical talent remains entirely optional.

How to Play

Press A for the left bongo and D for the right. C hits the cymbal, F rings the cowbell, B shakes the tambourine, and Space makes the cat meow. Play piano notes with 1 through 0 and marimba notes with Q through P. Hold several keys for a chord; release and press again for another hit. You can also click the keycaps. On mobile, choose an instrument and tap the large pads with one or more fingers. Use Mute whenever the concert needs a break.

FAQ

What is Noise Complaint?
A keyboard music toy by Play Weird. Play drums, piano, marimba and percussion with a small cat who takes none of this seriously. There is nothing to win. You are here to make noise.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. Choose Bongos, Piano, Marimba, or another instrument from the selector, then tap the large pads. Two fingers can play both bongos together.
Why is there no sound?
Tap a pad or press a musical key to activate audio. Check that sound is not muted here and that your device volume is up. Your browser or device may also have a silent setting.
Can I play multiple notes at once?
Yes. Combine piano or marimba notes with bongos and percussion. Each press adds a sound without cutting off the previous one. Holding a key does not automatically repeat it.
Does it work on Safari?
Safari supports the audio used by this toy. Start with a tap or keypress so the browser can activate sound. If audio pauses after switching apps, tap another pad to resume it.
